Courses for 2025
Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
We are currently focussing on CBT courses, largely for 125 cc manual bikes, as these seem to be the bikes of choice locally and for those students wishing to start their journey towards a full bike license.
We currently have 1x50cc scooter for those wanting to do an automatic CBT.
The best way to book a CBT with EZ Rider Motorcycle Training is to use our on line booking facility . This is a simple 3 step process where you can choose the bike you train on, a date that suits you and securely pay online with a card.
We are a very small new school and don’t work weekends at present.
Introduction To Motorcycling (ITM)
As stated on our booking screen, if you have zero experience on a manual geared bike and ESPECIALLY if you also don’t drive, we thoroughly recommend that you consider doing an ITM short course before doing a CBT on a manual clutch and gears bike. Learning to ride a manual bike and to drive in 1 day can be overwhelming and often results in students not achieving the DVSA required standards in 1 day.
ITM training costs £60 for a 2 hour session, usually from 8:30 to 10:30 am and consists of a small group, often 1-2-1, focussing on the mechanical skills such as clutch control, steering and slow speed control. These can be very challenging on the CBT day in a larger group.
Ideal for complete novices with cycling experience and very nervous students, please do consider this option.
Doing an ITM is a lot cheaper than having to retake a CBT and all extra motorcycle training is time and money well spent!
125 cc DAS preparation training
For those students wanting to progress to DAS training, we offer a full day of DAS level training on our 125 cc bikes, to help raise standards beyond CBT, towards achieving a full license. Most training schools will insist on a portion of the training package they offer to include road riding on a 125cc bike, to assess the standard of the trainee before putting them on a bigger bike, and to develop more advanced roadcraft, whilst not having to manage a bigger, more powerful machine.

Direct Access Scheme (DAS)
As the school is very new and we are very busy with CBT training, we have had to pause our plans for DAS training whilst we establish ourselves and get our resources together to offer this service at the highest level. We will announce this addition to our offering a soon as we have dates available Thank you for your patience 🙂
